Information We Collect
To provide and maintain our Services, we collect the following types of information:
- Product and Vendor Data
- When you use the Chrome extension on vendor websites, we collect images, pricing, dimensions, product names, and descriptions that you actively choose to save.
- Account and Portal Data
- We collect account profile information, email addresses, and login credentials managed securely via our database provider (Supabase) when you register for the Designer Portal.
- Client Interaction Data
- When a designer shares a private, tokenized proposal link, we collect the end-client's item selections, product approvals, text comments, and the timestamps of those interactions.
- Technical Usage Data
- We collect basic, anonymous log data, including browser version, extension performance metrics, and error reports to maintain platform stability.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data strictly to:
- —Generate, format, organize, and host interior design proposals.
- —Display client feedback, item approvals, and product comments directly within the designer's portal dashboard.
- —Orchestrate and deliver automated proposal communications to your clients via our integrated email provider (Resend).
- —Synchronize your saved product data instantly across your authorized devices.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal, vendor, or client data to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
- Centralized Cloud Storage
- Your collected vendor data and user profiles are transmitted securely and stored in our centralized cloud database (Supabase) to allow cross-device access.
- Local Caching
- The Chrome extension temporarily caches data locally on your device while in active use to optimize performance, syncing back to our cloud database upon loading.
- Encryption
- All data transmitted between the extension, the web portal, vendor websites, and our servers is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption.
- Access Security
- Access to shared client proposals is restricted via unique, cryptographically secure tokens generated by our platform. Designers are responsible for sharing these private links securely with their authorized clients.
- Data Retention
- We retain your account data and saved proposals for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with our Services.
Third-Party Websites
Our Chrome extension interacts with third-party vendor websites that you browse. Wellsourced LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices, cookies, or content of those external vendor sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any vendor website you visit.
Browser Permissions & Vendor Detection
The Wellsourced Chrome extension requires the “tabs” browser permission to power its proactive vendor detection engine. Reading the web address of your active tab lets the extension recognize the vendor site you are working on and prepare the correct clipping interface the moment you switch tabs — without injecting heavy scripts globally.
- Local Hostname Screening
- The hostname of your active tab is read locally, on your device, and cross-referenced against your saved vendor registry and a maintained list of non-shopping destinations (search engines, webmail, and social platforms) where the clipping interface is automatically suppressed. This screening happens entirely in your browser.
- Cloud-Synchronized Scraping Rules
- For vendor sites you have granted access to, the site's domain name — never the full page address — is checked against our cloud-synchronized database of vendor configurations to retrieve custom scraping rules, ensuring fast and accurate product capture.
- What We Do Not Collect
- We do not record, store, or transmit your browsing history. A site's domain reaches our servers only when you have granted that site access or actively invoke the clipper on it; every other page you visit is screened locally and immediately discarded. Page content is only read when you choose to clip a product.
Site access beyond the active tab is granted per-vendor, at your explicit request, and can be revoked at any time from your browser's extension settings.
Google Chrome Web Store Compliance
Our collection of user data adheres strictly to the Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the requirements for Limited Use:
- —We only transfer data to provide or improve primary user-facing features.
- —We do not use or transfer the data for serving advertisements, determining credit-worthiness, or data-brokering.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy or via a notification within the Designer Portal.
